A video installation titled My Body Is My Home connects all the paintings in the series. The video is framed by a simple line of thread on the wall, shaped like the outlined dress (shaped canvas) in the series. Overlaid on the dress is the video projection of a woman. The woman is living inside of the dress shape as if the dress is her home with all the duality of the home as both protection and limitation. She is moving inside of the frame of the dress but is careful that at no point her body crosses the line. She is at once in the comfort of the home, while still constrained and limited by it – with the dress working as an obstruction.
